FORMATTING FOR FINANCIAL SERVICES

The owner of a small financial services firm in Baltimore reached out, as he had put together a rough draft of a new onboarding/training manual for new hires. The content was complete, but needed some revision and organization, and, most importantly, formatting, so that folks could actually read and navigate the packet.

I cleaned up the contents, decided on a structure, and then used styles in MS Word (can also do in Mac Pages) to create a documents with a clickable Table of Contents. And, of course, the whole thing looked a lot more professional when I was done with it, including cohesive company branding.

This guy didn’t need to shell out the money for this. He could have spent time to make the document serviceable, but, he had better things to do, and he wanted to end up with something that would communicate his company’s professional culture to new internal stakeholders.

He has since recommended my services to colleagues.
