IMPACT FOR EMPACT

I’ve just wrapped up some solid web development, content writing, and design work for EMPACT Racket Sport Coaching and Community, an energetic, compassionate, and community-minded business that offers tennis and pickleball clinics and coaching in Chapel Hill, Carrboro, and Durham.

I met the founder, Coach Warrick Taylor, when I signed up for my free lesson over three years ago, and I’ve been hooked ever since. Coach Taylor asked me to update the EMPACT logo and revise his site, which had been focused solely on new member recruitment. Now, current players can find resources easily, and new clients can learn what they need to know. We also dialed down animation and repetition, tied up loose ends, and tidied up content with a more consistent tone and using text elements to make it more easy to navigate.

I also edited their fine print. Even the fine print—the boring stuff, can be written and edited to make the reader feel welcome and positive. Every single word on a website or in a newsletter or an email matters a great deal when you’re building a business, and now EMPACT’s site is tighter, more welcoming, and reflects their values and enthusiasm.

Get in touch if you want to come to EMPACT with me some time! Guaranteed good time.
